Chapter 322 322: Dungeon Of The Dragon Queen VII
In a very text book manner, the Tank was the first to step forward to attack. He held his shield up as he approached his mace flying across the distance the chain it was connected to magically extended. Cole raised a [Gravity] shield, but he had to jump back, his awareness suddenly shifting to encompass three more attacks.
Even as a Gold rank, Cole was ashamed to say he was unable to track them all. The ice spike that was shot from his back stabbed into his lower thigh as he evaded both the mace and the arrow that followed behind, but not before the rogue used the water around them to vanish and reappear, slicing through Cole\'s hamstrings and bringing him to the ground.
He grunted and crossed his arms just as the tank crossed the distance to smash his shield into Cole. Cole was flung backwards, but he quickly used [Shadow Dance] to vanish and reappear right behind the mage, his finger on the trigger for his rifle. Cole squeezed and fired the gun, however the image in front of him vanished, replaced with the tank who took a couple of steps backs, blood pouring from a hole in the middle.
In that moment a barrage of Ice shards flew towards his direction along with a flask, carefully hidden among the icicles. Cole evade most of them, the others he used his [Gravity] to push back in the direction they came from. However it seems his opponents were gold ranked themselves as the it now became a contest of wills between him and the mage to see who would be able to push the other back.
But in a fight against multiple well trained opponents, Cole would never be able to achieve what he was going for. He had to keep on splitting his attention in order to not get subdued by them. And in this case the rogue took advantage with a back stab or at least a variation of the skill that suddenly left Cole feeling lethargic and sleepy…. poison?
Perhaps, but Cole was not sure. However he quickly understood and saw that this was all just a diversion. The other caster with the book had encased the Tank in water for a few seconds as Cole fought the rest of the Frog people adventurer team. The tank suddenly appeared in front of Cole again and shield bashed him I to the water, this time with enough power and force to throw Cole backwards.
[2nd Floor Boss(es) The Six Tentacles Of Nimue]
It see,s these guys were a part of not just the dungeon but also the Dragon\'s army. Cole quickly gathered Gravity around himself as he took a deep breath, Chaos energy dancing around his finger tips before he flooded all those energy into his rifle and fired in the direction of the six as they had plunged into the water to finish him off along with the rest of the aquatic life that was rapidly closing in.
[Shockwave]
He has never done this before, use one of his major skills through his gun. But this time there was a certain amount of synergy between the skill and the medium that it was being used through. A bullet blasted out, spinning through the water and creating a massive whirl or oscillating energy that ripped anything it came across to shreds. The six all gathered themselves behind the shield of the tank, as he used a skill releasing a massive blue light that created a translucent energy turtle shell.
The bullet smashed into it, and for the first five seconds the shield held, albeit barely as the bullet kept on pushing them all back across the lake until it finally came to a stop and the turtle shield developed a crack, and just in time too as Cole had fired off another bullet with the [Shockwave] skill.
This time it smashed the shield apart and blasted into the armor of the tank. That too was blasted to pieces as the Tank was pushed backwards into his teammates or was it a her? Cole really couldn\'t tell, they all seemed really...froggy. But this was what he was waiting for, something to take their hyper awareness and focus away for a few seconds.
[Shadow Dance]
Cole showed up behind the healer and plunge his entire arm into her chest, blood filled the water as Cole plunged his other arm, keeping his rifle in his inventory in the process. The healer screamed, her voice releasing bubbles into the water as Cole held her close her body leaning against him in an almost sensual manner.
It was how he was able to tell she was female, she had more defined curves that he could notice now that he was closer to her, but that did not matter in the long run as Cole wrenched his arms left and right, splitting her in two as more blood and organs spilled out into the lake.
The rest of them were just coming too as they all let loose screams of rage. The rogue rushed for Cole as he used [Gravity] underwater to move himself out of a particularly dangerous strike. He caught the wrist of the rogue as he gave a particularly nasty grin in greeting. The Rogue\'s eyes widened, but still it was way too late to do anything about this.
[Sin Eater]
The rogue turned to dust mere seconds later as Cole rushed after the remaining four. His eyes ablaze with a glint that spoke volumes of the pain that awaited them. They quickly retreated going deeper into the lake. Cole however could not follow, he has already been underwater for too long so he needed air.
He quickly rushed up, using Gravity to propel himself until he shot out of the underground lake, flying across the air until he alighted on top one of the massive rock islands that dotted the lake. He took a mouthful of air as he turned his gaze back to the lake, calling his rifle to himself as he leaped off the massive rock, all thoughts going to how he was going fishing for frogs.
